Restoring Kindness was founded in 2015 by A&J Property Restoration in of DeForest, Wisc. C&R is proud to partner with A&J to take this movement to the next level. To learn more, visit restoringkindnessusa.com.

Inside every issue of C&R, we will feature restoration companies who are restoring kindness in their own communities. Once a year, these features will be gathered into one place, and the industry allowed to vote on their favorite. That winner will be honored in a future edition of C&R.

Restorers Set a Record Raising OVER 72,000 NEW Socks for Local Charities

Since 2020, skilled trades have been competing to see who can raise the most pairs of new socks for local charitable organizations. In 2021 teams from On Side Restoration joined The DYOJO Podcast Annual SOCKTember NEW Sock-Raising Challenge to expand the effort into an international challenge. BluSky Philanthropic Event Raises $140,000 for ALS Research in St. Louis

Funds will continue to support the Miller Lab at Washington University School of Medicine  BluSky Restoration Contractors, LLC, a leading national property restoration company in the U.S., announced it raised $140,000 for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) research through its sixth annual Rakers Classic charity golf tournament that occurred on September 18. In 2017, BluSky’s close culture of family was rocked when one of its employees, Lyle Rakers, was diagnosed with a rare form of ALS called Brachial Amyotrophic Diplegia (BAD). This ultimately led to the establishment of the Lyle Rakers Charitable Foundation in 2018.

BluSky Partners with Housing Industry Foundation to Revitalize Youth Transitional Housing

Renovation will now accommodate a 30% increase in residents  BluSky Restoration Contractors, LLC, a leading national property restoration company in the U.S., in partnership with the Housing Industry Foundation (HIF), completed a transitional housing revitalization project at the Covenant House California (CHC) Santa Clara campus.  CHC is a nonprofit youth shelter that provides sanctuary and support for young people ages 18-24 experiencing homelessness. What is SOCKTember 2023?  It’s simple really. Most local community services NEED socks. It is one of the highest demand items for people in need of all ages. PuroClean of Cleveland, TN Serving Others with #RestoringKindness

This past month, PuroClean was able to give back to their community by providing services without charge. Smithers Church of God and parsonage in Smithers, Virginia suffered property damage from flooding in July of 2022. Men and Women of Action volunteers mucked out the parsonage and did a two foot flood cut of the drywall. The crawlspace was left with damaged HVAC ducts and mold growth. On June 1, 2023 a small crew from PuroClean Property Damage Experts of Cleveland, TN traveled six hours to Smithers. Upon arrival, they removed all of the damaged HVAC

BluSky Chicago Office Succeeds in Packing over 101,000 Life-Saving Meals

Over 350 volunteers gathered at Chicago-area office to benefit Feed My Starving Children  BluSky Restoration Contractors, LLC, a leading national property restoration company in the U.S., and hundreds of community members worked to feed thousands of starving children in the developing world.
