Unsung Heroes Award


To celebrate and recognize amazing people exemplifying selflessness, leadership, grit, and tenacity within all levels of the restoration and cleaning industry. We are looking for men and women who go above and beyond for their customers, colleagues, and community.

We are looking for Unsung Heroes exuding qualities like:

  • Significant leadership and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lead, guide, and uplift team members.
  • Dedication to serving, communicating with, and advocating for customers through a foundation of trust and integrity.
  • Consistent positive attitude and influence within the company, coupled with personal growth.
  • High level of initiative, responsibility, and resourcefulness.
  • Solid understanding of the company’s purpose, vision, and mission.
  • Championing positive change through formal or informal leadership.
  • Humility and desire to do what’s right, no matter what.


The Unsung Heroes Award recognizes THREE worthy individuals within the restoration and cleaning industry – one from each category below!

  • Executive Hero of the Year (President, COO, Director of Operations, etc.)
  • Office Hero of the Year (Admin, Accounting, Sales, Marketing, Project Coordinator, etc.)
  • Field Hero of the Year (Estimator, Project Manager, Crew Chief, Technician, etc.)

Nominations will be received during a set nomination period each year, and reviewed by a panel of industry judges to select a winner from each category.


Nominations Open: June 1, 2024

Nominations Close: June 30, 2024

Winner is announced in the September/October issue of C&R!


Nominees must be employed in the cleaning and restoration industry in 2024. You may nominate numerous individuals, but you must submit a separate nomination for each nominee. We will only evaluate one nomination per nominee per category; please coordinate within your team to submit one submission per individual. An individual may only be nominated for one category. Judging is based on the nomination responses, quality, and clarity of the examples given.


Nominations will be carefully reviewed by a panel of judges and go through a two-phased judging approach to determine winners.
