Sasser Restoration, a leading national disaster solutions company in the U.S., proudly welcomed two new interns to the team this summer. One of Sasser’s interns was Jansen Knotts who served on the finance team. In this role, he has worked on various processes within the finance and accounting departments including financial reports and loan amortizations all while upholding Sasser’s core values of quality, service, and responsiveness.
Knotts is a current student-athlete at Waynesburg University where he is pursuing a degree in finance and competing for the university’s basketball team. He is also working on his MBA in Project Management which he will complete next summer. Knotts chose to expand his education outside the classroom with Sasser Restoration largely because of his mentorship under Wes Hershelman, Sasser’s Director of Finance. Prior to joining the Sasser team, Hershelman was a professor at Waynesburg University and had the privilege of teaching Knotts.
“I was impressed by Jansen’s desire to learn when I first taught him in an accounting course during his freshman year at Waynesburg University. It was evident that he highly valued academics and was willing to put in extra time to ensure he understood the financial concepts that were being introduced to him,” Hershelman said. “I am thankful that our paths have crossed and remain committed to doing whatever I can to help him succeed both now and in the future.”
Since 2009, Sasser Restoration has been committed to providing responsiveness, service and quality at the highest level. With headquarters in North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and California, Sasser Restoration specializes in water and storm mitigation, fire and smoke mitigation, and mold mitigation and clean-up services across the United States.
