During one of the most well-attended meetings in recent history, Karen Clendening received the prestigious Bernson Award. Named after Dick Bernson, founder of MSPCA/MCRA, the award is given to the person who has accomplished the most toward advancing the science and professionalism of our industry in general, and the Midsouth Cleaning and Restoration Association in particular. “It is truly an honor to be among the distinguished people who’ve received this prestigious award. The Midsouth family means so much to me,” Karen commented after receiving the award.

The 2-day March Regional Meeting had 90 attendees from across the mid-south and featured outstanding presentations from John Monroe, Senior Advisor at Violand Management Associates and Damien Monaghan, Chief Operating Officer at Rumsey Construction & Restoration.

Among the highlights during our evening networking event was a local speed painter who painted 4 canvases, including industry-related works. We raised of $6400 to benefit Manna Food Bank which continues to feed people severely impacted by Hurricane Helene.

Our next meeting is scheduled for October 16-17, 2025, in Charlotte, NC. For more information about MCRA or to become a member, go to midsouthcra.org.

MidSouth Cleaning and Restoration Association is a non-profit association of specialists dedicated to providing high quality services to their customers in the art of cleaning and restoration. We give every member support toward this goal.
