Sentinel Products, the leader in remediation chemistry (disinfectants, cleaners & coatings) for the restoration industry, today announced Cole Stanton has been awarded the prestigious, first-ever Advocacy Allstar Award from the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC). This brand new award recognizes volunteer contributions in the development of policy, law, and regulation. Mr. Stanton serves Sentinel and our industry as Director of Education & Development, and he leverages 3+ decades of experience in mold, fire, wildfire, water damage, biohazard, asbestos and lead paint.
The Advocacy Allstar Award was presented during the IICRC Educate The Advocates (ETA) event on 10/1/25 at the Palms in Las Vegas. Coordinated by IICRC Director of Government Relations Mr. Robbie Bradshaw, and now completing its 3rd year, the ETA provides a unique annual opportunity for policymakers to meet restoration industry leaders, as well as educational sessions to make restorers better advocates. The ETA provides an ideal forum to highlight professionals that have dedicated untold unpaid hours, and this recognition acknowledges Mr. Stanton and Sentinel’s multi-lateral networking and coordination between our public sector that welcome industry understanding, and our restoration professionals that are eager to help and share, and can be effective when coached on the policy process.
The Advocacy AllStar Award demonstrates excellence in bringing diverse parties together, and focusing on the unique resource available to policy developers in considering adoption of IICRC’s ANSI-accredited standards. Having served as a Consensus Body Member since 2003 for the IICRC standards for mold (S520), biohazard (S540), fire (S700), and the S760 (wildfire), Mr. Stanton joins regulatory conversations with IICRC’s industry credibility; and as Chair of IICRC’s Continuing Education Committee (CEC), he can share insights with federal, state and local leaders on issues like training and licensing.
