Impedance Roof Moisture Surveyor Certification Course (IRMS) – Sponsored by American Roofing Educators (ARE)
ARE will increase your credibility, improve your skills, and build your contracting or consulting business. This two-day class is a must for anyone wishing to conduct professional roof moisture surveys that will comply with published standards.
While all roof moisture detection methods and tools will be discussed, the emphasis will be on the proper use of Tramex moisture detection equipment.
This class and certification are for experienced roofing professionals.
Upon completion of the class, you must pass a final exam and demonstrate hands on proficiency in order to receive your certification.
This IRMS will additionally provide you with 12 hrs. CEH credit from IIBEC

Pete Consigli
Pete Consigli is a Restoration Industry Association (RIA) Certified Restorer (CR) and Water Loss Specialist (WLS) and has been a member of the Restoration Industry Association since 1977. Over the years he has been an active volunteer and filled various association leadership roles.
In 2008, Pete received RIA’s most prestigious honor for excellence in restoration, the Martin L. King award. In 2012 RIA made Pete the second honorary member to its association, only the third such honor in RIA’s 75+ years. The first was to Marty King, CR, ASA, a member of the industry’s founding generation and longtime mentor to Pete. In 2014 Past RIA President and MLK recipient Cliff Zlotnik, CR, WLS, CMH became the third honorary member.
John T. Hull
John T. Hull, RRO has 25+ years in the roofing, waterproofing, and coatings industries. He is a recognized authority on building envelope inspections and assessments, roof restoration, quality assurance, roof asset management, reroof assessments, and roof restoration scope of work and specification development.
Specialties include moisture detection within the roof and building envelope as well as roof condition assessments. Mr. Hull has provided technical support, training, and consulting in over 30 Countries. He is an Internationally recognized
speaker having delivered technical presentations throughout the America’s, Europe, and Australia.
His expertise in roof and building envelope restoration has contributed to projects at NFL stadiums, airports, universities, hospitals, military bases, and even the White House.
