ISSA, The Association for Cleaning and Facility Solutions, and the National Organization of Remediators and Mold Inspectors (NORMI™) have signed a renewed and expanded alliance agreement. The agreement takes effect immediately and builds on a formal partnership that began in 2018.
The two organizations share a common goal: healthy indoor environments need both professional cleaning and proper mold remediation. To achieve this, they will work together on legislative advocacy, public awareness, and a more integrated approach to indoor environmental health.
Rather than treating cleaning and remediation as separate fields, the alliance promotes a unified path forward. Both ISSA and NORMI will combine their expertise to create more value for their members.
What the alliance covers
The next phase of the alliance focuses on four key areas:
Education & Training — Members get shared access to cleaning and mold remediation courses, certifications, and joint educational opportunities.
Integrated Membership Value — A structured option allows members of each organization to access select benefits from the other.
Media & Branding — Cleanfax becomes the official publication for NORMI members. Both organizations will also collaborate on editorial content.
Advocacy — ISSA and NORMI will coordinate on government and regulatory issues affecting cleaning, mold remediation, and indoor environmental health.
What members gain
The expanded alliance brings concrete benefits to both member bases.
ISSA members get access to NORMI technical bulletins on mold. They also receive member pricing on mold assessment and remediation education, events, and certifications.
NORMI members receive Cleanfax as part of their membership. In addition, they get digital access to select ISSA publications, access to the ISSA Show North America show floor, and member pricing on ISSA education, events, and certifications.
Furthermore, the agreement opens the door to an ISSA/NORMI combo membership option.
