IMPORTANT RELEASE FROM RIA

Fellow Restorers –

Earlier this year, Verisk added a third tier to Xactimate’s labor efficiency settings, with a potential large impact on restorers. The changes include two additions:

1. A Large Restoration/Remodel, slotted between the existing Restoration/Remodel/Service. This new tier reduces labor pricing by an estimated 5 to 10% compared to the standard selection.

2. A Total Rebuild or Similar (formerly New Construction)

The Restoration Industry Association immediately began regular discussions with Verisk regarding these changes, and are adamant about educating restorers on how to handle these changes. It is more critical than ever that our industry is united in handling this change within Xactimate.

This is now a year-over-year occurrence of RIA and their various committees and taskforces lobbying for the rights of restorers to Verisk, and being able to effectively move the needle in favor of our industry and trade.

Want to be part of effecting change? Start by reading and implementing the best practices in this whitepaper.

Also, please share this whitepaper widely with your fellow restorers.

Change starts with all of us – working together. Become an RIA L member; get involved in committees, and be part of shaping the future of restoration.

In partnership,

The AGA Independent Pricing Commitee
