The national training and certifying organization NORMI (National Organization of Remediators and Mold Inspectors) is helping active members by providing free Florida CEU courses every Wednesday at 12:45 pm EST in a Live online format from November 2021 to March 2022. These classes give Florida licensed mold assessors and remediators the opportunity to secure the biennial 14 CEUs required by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) Mold Related Services Board. Each of these free CEU classes qualifies as continuing education units to meet the DBPR’s 14 CEUs required every other year for all Florida licensed mold assessors and remediators. The required date of completion for these 14 CEUs is July 31, 2022.
NORMI offers nine different free CEU course options that include the following: Mold Licensing Law, Assessment Best Practices, Remediation Best Practices, Mold Health Concerns, Protecting the Public, Mold Protocol Writer, Assessment Report Writing, Remediation Processes, and Guidelines and SOP. The number of continuing education credits ranges from one to four CEUs, depending on the length of the course. These free CEU courses are available to current NORMI members and brand new members who sign up with the industry trade organization to benefit from the free CEU courses for active members.
